TINY STRAY WON’T LEAVE THE STREET CORNER WHERE HE WAS DUMPED

Can you imagine how hard it would be to lose your beloved doggo to unknown circumstances? All the wondering and all those endless questions that would pop in our mind while we’re trying to figure out how to get him back?

Well, our furry little friends feel just as much sorrow once they get cut off from their families. It’s almost always hard for them to understand why they were abandoned in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but a memory of what once was a semblance of a happy family.

Just a week before the Fourth of July, Nugget, a tiny pup from South California, ended up on a street due to family abandonment.

Despite being irretrievably left by his loved ones, the small doggo stayed true to a corner where he last saw them until one day, everything changed for the better…

He Would Always Return To The Corner, No Matter What

He was new to the neighborhood, but little Nugget always knew how to get back to the intersection where his family left him.

Not once, but several times, groups of selfless neighbors tried to help this tiny pup get off the street, but he always found a way to escape.

Still, at the end of the day, he would always return to that exact same corner, waiting for his family to pick him up. Sadly, that never happened.

Scared And Lonely, Seeking Food And Shelter

It was the Fourth of July when the fireworks started, and little Nugget was scared so much that he ran away, but as soon as everything got silent again, he came back to his spot. Still, it was as if he was making peace with the fact that his family’s not coming back.

Little by little, he started realizing that everyone around tried to help him, not harm him. One day, he literally showed up at the door of a woman who tried to help him recently, like he was trying to beg for some food.

The woman, who was a cat owner, fed him, but the dog still refused to enter her home. She then called Suzette Hall, her friend, and the founder of Logan’s Legacy, from Irvine, California.

“He had to endure fireworks and people chasing him. He was so smart though, he knew where to go for food,” says Suzette.

Suzette Hall Knew What Had To Be Done

As soon as she drove herself to the spot, she saw Nugget on the very same spot where he was left. She set up a humane trap and lured him in with some delicious snacks, which worked perfectly!

After only a few minutes, Nugget was in a box in Hall’s van and they were on their way to Camino Pet Hospital.

The little dog was wary at first, but he soon relaxed when he realized that Hall and everybody in the hospital were actually friends.

“Thankfully, we were able to get a trap out there. And, we finally got him safe. Tiny and scared, but he is rescued,” Suzette wrote on her Facebook.

He was thoroughly checked out, and now he’s waiting for the pawfect owner around his caregivers. We can’t wait to see this South Californian beauty transform in a new home next to the family who will truly appreciate his resilient and cute nature!
