Stray animals are abundant in many parts of the world, including our own. Due to economic challenges and irresponsible owners, homeless dogs will continue to breed making food scarce.
Many animals who are abandoned haven’t been spayed or neutered and this heartbreaking scenario is the result.
Dogs are pack animals and will move from place to place together in order to find food, water, and shelter. The pack is ever-changing due to new births and new members who join. This tiny puppy, a result of a recent litter, was just old enough to start eating on his own.
He made his way over to some food when a bigger dog lashed out. The adult dog’s bite, which is a common occurrence when food is involved, greatly injured the little puppy.
Thankfully, a rescue group received a phone call when a good Samaritan found him in the street yelping in pain. The little baby was covered in fleas and had a gaping wound.
If he remained on the streets, the wound would’ve likely become infected and could have cost him his life!
The rescuer responded quickly and arrived on the scene. The man picked the puppy up, put him inside the vehicle, and raced him to the clinic.
Soon, the little sweetie was bandaged up and feeling much better. The puppy’s story isn’t even close to being over. We are so grateful for this incredible rescue and what happens next.
Please let this story be a reminder that no one should ever abandon an animal, no matter what! Let’s do our part to make sure all homeless animals end up in loving homes as well!
