Recently updated fans about his daughter Ava’s health following a scooter accident. Speaking on “LIVE WITH KELLY AND MARK,” Ribeiro shared that while Ava is much better, she is still healing from scars on her face and arms. Ava suffered the injuries just before her fourth birthday in May, leading to emergency surgery for severe road rash.

Alfonso Ribeiro’s 8-year-old son Anders had a rough weekend, spending Sunday, Nov. 26 getting stitched up.
The Dancing With the Stars co-host shared a photo of the poor boy’s painful injury shortly after he was stitched up, as well as another where his son finally fell asleep, snuggling up on his father’s chest on the couch with his cut and abrasion on full display.
Based on his caption, Anders appears to have lost his footing on a slab of concrete while wearing his baseball cleats, smashing his temple into the hard ground.
“Well another trip to @kareskinmd for Anders yesterday,” the Fresh Prince of Bel Air alum wrote on Instagram on Nov. 27. “Baseball cleats on concrete is never a good combination. 12 stitches and a cracked bone. Thank you Dr. for always taking our calls, even on a Sunday.”

Kare Skin specializes in corrective and therapeutic skincare, according to their own Instagram account, and previously treated Ribeiro’s 4-year-old daughter Ava after she fell off her scooter, suffering road rash on her face and down her arm.
At the time, the actor shouted out the medical office “for the emergency service and procedure to help lessen the likelihood of scarring,” expressing “how brave” Ava was during the surgery.
The accident came just a day before her fourth birthday, making it a difficult week for celebration, but just a few months later she made her own Dancing With the Stars debut dressed as a Disney princess, who said she’d been “waiting [her] whole life for this.”

Alfonso Riberio’s family is celebrating a very merry Christmas!
On Monday, the Dancing with the Stars co-host, 52, shared a peek at his family’s holiday festivities, which included some quality time outdoors with all four of his kids.
Ribeiro poses with daughter Ava Sue, 4, and sons Alfonso “AJ” Lincoln, 10, and Anders Reyn, 8, all of whom he shares with wife Angela. Also appearing in the family photo is Ribeiro’s 21-year-old daughter Sienna from a previous relationship.

In September, Ribeiro joined Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, both 52, on an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, sharing that his daughter Ava Sue was doing much better after falling off a scooter.
“She’s doing much better,” Ribeiro said of his daughter, “She’s, I wouldn’t say fully healed. There’s still scarring a little bit that’s going away. Luckily, her face scar is the least of all of it — some scars still on the arms.”
“But she’s no longer in pain. Emotionally, she’s great,” he continued. “She literally is a complete daredevil, has no fear. The minute it happened she was like, ‘I want back on the scooter.’ ‘You’re not riding the scooter! You and the scooter are done!'”

For Father’s Day this year, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor was honored by wife Angela in an Instagram tribute. Angela shared a series of photos and videos of Ribeiro and the couple’s kids together, penning an adorable ode to the father of four.
“Happy Father’s Day to the greatest human I know,” she began. “Thank you for being the most amazing daddy and for always instilling resilience, a hard work ethic, compassion, adventure, kindness, inspiration, empathy, and love in our children.”
