‘Lil Dog’ Pulled From Meat Truck, Waited At The Airport For Her ‘Human Angel’

In China, the dog meat trade is still very much in operation. Even in those places where it has been forbidden, backyard farmers and butchers continue to operate. Dogs are subjected to horrible living conditions. Slaughterhouse Survivors, for example, strives its hardest to rescue as many dogs as possible.

When Pearl was discovered on a meat truck, she had no legs and her skin was infested with mange. The sick little girl needed intensive medical treatment as well as affection. Pearl’s saviors weren’t sure whether she’d survive, but they wouldn’t give up hope.

At the airport, Leah’s foster mom was overjoyed to see her. Their bond was instant. Pearl was ready to meet her foster siblings next. They greeted her with open arms. While they got acquainted and Pearl had a little fun, Leah observed that she struggled to walk about because of her hips. Her hips weren’t functioning properly, so walking with three legs put a strain on them.
