Unfortunately, Pit Bulls often get undeservedly negative associations in our society. People see them as mean and aggressive dogs when really they are usually gentle giants that suffer because of their irresponsibility Owners use them for dog fighting.
Pit bulls used for dog fighting are kept chained on properties, neglected, and thrown into the mix to fight other dogs. But when given a real chance in life, they can step up and do amazing things.
The Daniels family of Monroe, Ohio, happily adopted their beloved Pit Bull, Ember, from Adore-A-Bull. Ember had been saved off the streets as a puppy and given a second chance with the Daniels family. While the Daniels family preserved Ember’s life, Ember showed them how to repay them in kind.
Tre and Ember share a special relationship, and she was always looking out for him. During one of the night’s sleep, Ember took up sitting next to Tre’s mother’s bed and grumbling. When his mother, Tracy, awoke, she was perplexed by the strange noise that Ember was making. She knew something was wrong when she heard this strange sound emanating from her son’s room.
She then saw Tre’s legs dangling over the edge of the tub. He had fallen in during a seizure, with half his body inside and half out of the tub, his head tilted all the way back.
Tracy called 911 and medics rushed him to the hospital where he received immediate medical attention. Thankfully, Tre was okay, but he may not have been if it weren’t for his best friend Ember.
The Daniels family, along with Adore-A-Bull, is ecstatic about Ember’s quick reaction in saving Tre’s life. They hope this tale will help eradicate the bad reputation that Pit Bulls have. They also want more people to get spayed and neutered so that there are fewer Pit Bulls who are abandoned and euthanized in the end.
