Megan Fox finally gives her thoughts on Love Is Blind ‘lookalike’

Chelsea Blackwell alleged that she looked like the actress

Megan Fox has finally addressed the very viral Love Is Blind comparisons.

Earlier this year, Chelsea Blackwell featured on the most recent season of Netflix’s hit reality TV show, Love Is Blind.

As per its title, the contestants don’t get to see what each other look like until later on in the experiment and, while they’re supposed to remain shtum about their appearances, Chelsea chose to tease what she looked like to love interest Jimmy Presnell.

In now-viral clips of the programme, Chelsea compared herself to Transformers star, Megan Fox.

While Chelsea meant no harm with the remark, she went on to receive a lot of abuse online – even getting death threats.

The 31-year-old later took to social media to ask people to stop trolling her about her very public celebrity comparison.

“Here me out, you guys have every right to have your opinions because let’s be honest – woof,” she said.

“Imagine spending the year just really working on yourself, fighting those inner demons and really becoming the women you’ve always wanted to be.

“Sitting with hardships in your life that you’ve never really sat with before and then having to relive it.”

Chelsea went on to plead: “Maybe we can cease the death threats for a minute? I don’t know, just a thought.”

She also addressed the moment on the Love Is Blind reunion where she expressed her regrets over the ‘silly little comment’.

Noting the abuse she’d been getting, Chelsea added that she was ‘really stinkin proud’ of herself with how she’d handled it all.

Now, after weeks of waiting, Megan herself has commented on the ordeal.

Chatting to E! News, the Jennifer’s Body star said: “I didn’t watch it, but I think in general, no one deserves to get bullied.

“I don’t think she deserved that. I think people went way too hard.”

“I’ve never had more people text me about something,” the 37-year-old continued to tell the showbiz outlet. “I don’t really watch TV very much.”

Megan also said that she understood people’s comparisons to an extent and believed Chelsea when she said that people have said she looks like the star.

“I believe she’s telling the truth and I hope like she still has that sparkle in her eye. I hope the world didn’t steal it from her,” Megan went on to say.

Elsewhere in her chat with E! News, the mom-of-three urged people not to ‘waste your energy’ on men.

“All they’re going to do is drain you,” she said. “Just move on. Invest in yourself.”

Relationships are certainly a tricky one, so much so that Megan Fox is seemingly done with them.

The actress announced recently that she and Machine Gun Kelly had called off their engagement, much to the surprise of fans, leaving many with questions over the current status of their relationship.

Fox and Kelly began dating back in 2020 after meeting on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass.

In 2022 they went on to get engaged, with Fox even saying that ‘drank each other’s blood’ to mark the occasion.

However, just a year later, Fox announced that the engagement to Kelly was called off.

Fox appeared on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast earlier this year and opened up about her relationship status.

The actor refused to clarify the exact nature of their relationship together, though she did confirm that their engagement had been ended.

Alex Cooper asked her: “I feel like everyone has such an opinion on your guys relationship. You got engaged, then I think it was called off, then we don’t know what’s going on with you. How would you describe your relationship with MGK?”

Fox replied: “I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption, so I think as of now, I don’t have a comment on like the status of the relationship per say.

“What I can say is that is what I refer to as being my twin soul and there will always be a tether to him no matter what. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow.”

She added: “Beyond that I’m not willing to explain. But all those things you said were accurate things that have occurred and I can see them being confusing or interesting to people and them being like, ‘What’s up?'”

Fox has never been on to shy away from being candid about her relationships to the public, previously detailing ‘abusive relationships’ in her poetry book.

Now, Fox had some practical advice for single women, as she’s telling them not to ‘waste’ their time and energy on men.

During a segment with E! News’ The Rundown host Erin Lim Rhodes at the Revolve Festival over the weekend, Fox was not holding back.

“I don’t know if I’m the best person to give advice, because my advice is like just learn a skill or develop a hobby, and do not waste your energy on boys,” she said.

Fox continued: “All they’re going to do is drain you. Just move on. Invest in yourself.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Fox did give MGK a shoutout after she was asked about ideal Coachella headliners.

“Well, obviously, I have to say Machine Gun Kelly,” she said.

“I’m not in the modern era, so I would say, Guns N’ Roses or, you know who I would love to see, is Weezer. Weezer’s so fire.”
