She lived for a whole year almost without food! She couldn’t get up and just cried!

Bree, a beloved dog, went missing for a year. When her owners found her, she was severely emaciated and unable to walk. After admitting Bree to the vet, they discovered she had been intentionally starved.
Bree’s journey to recovery began with her refusing to eat, but after three days she took her first bite. With careful monitoring, she gradually increased her food intake. By day five, she was eating on her own and her bloodwork improved.
After six days in the hospital, Bree arrived at a foster home where she bonded with her foster mom and a unicorn toy. She still had difficulty standing on her own, but could walk when assisted.
Over the next few weeks, Bree’s progress was remarkable. She took her first short walk around day 14 and could eat on a regular schedule. By day 19, she had gained weight and her foster mom was overjoyed. Today, Bree is a thriving and happy dog. She plays with her foster siblings, enjoys walks, and shares a loving home with her family. She has overcome adversity and serves as a reminder of resilience and compassion.
A helpless pup, abandoned on the cold pavement, weeps in desperation; yet, despite human betrayal, he rekindles trust within, yearning for love anew.     A helpless pup, abandoned on the cold pavement, weeps in desperation; yet, despite human betrayal, he rekindles trust within, yearning for love anew.
In the heart of a bustling avenue, amidst the cold and unforgiving pavement, a poignant scene unfolded—one that would ultimately rekindle our faith in the enduring spirit of trust and love, even in the face of human betrayal.
Meet Pleasure, a young pup thrust into the world under the most dire circumstances. Abandoned, alone, and without the nurturing care of a mother, Pleasure was a tiny, fragile soul left to fend for himself, the weight of his uncertain future resting solely on his tiny shoulders. Yet, against all odds, this resilient pup would go on to teach us a lesson in trust, resilience, and the enduring capacity for love within us all.

Thankfully, Pleasure’s path crossed with the compassionate volunteers of Howl Of A Canine, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and well-being of animals in Romania. These unsung heroes, driven by a shared commitment to saving lives, found Pleasure and welcomed him into the warm embrace of their shelter. The day Pleasure entered the shelter marked a new beginning for this helpless soul, a rebirth of sorts. At a mere 160 grams, he was a fragile bundle of vulnerability—blind, deaf, toothless, and incapable of regulating his own body temperature. The challenges that come with caring for orphaned newborn puppies are immense, yet the dedicated shelter staff were undeterred. They poured their hearts into nurturing Pleasure and aiding in his development. For the first week, Pleasure’s world consisted of precious moments of sleep and nourishment, closely monitored by his devoted caregivers. It was after three weeks that he finally opened his eyes to the world around him, a world filled with newfound wonders and curiosities. With each passing day, Pleasure grew stronger and more inquisitive, forging bonds with other furry companions and fearlessly exploring his surroundings.
At seven weeks old, he reached a pivotal milestone—feeding himself independently, a testament to his indomitable spirit and growing resilience. It was a moment of triumph for both Pleasure and his dedicated caregivers. But the story doesn’t end there. The collective efforts of Howl Of A Canine’s compassionate team extended beyond nurturing Pleasure; they were determined to find him a forever home filled with love and warmth. Four months later, the long-awaited news arrived—a loving Dutch family had fallen head over heels for Pleasure and eagerly embraced him into their hearts and home.
In a heartwarming display of dedication, Pleasure’s new parents, Ellen and Ricardo, embarked on a cross-continental journey across Europe to personally bring him to his new abode. The news that Pleasure now thrives in the loving embrace of his forever family fills our hearts with immeasurable joy.
Pleasure’s story serves as a poignant reminder of the resilience of the human-animal bond. Even when faced with the depths of despair, this tenacious pup rekindled trust within himself and found love anew. It is a testament to the enduring capacity for compassion and empathy that resides within each of us. In a world that often seems callous, Pleasure’s journey from abandonment to enduring happiness is a beacon of hope, reminding us all that, with love and determination, we can transform lives, one small joy at a time.
