Shelter Dog Kept Getting ‘Rejected’, So He Made His Own Bed To Show He’s ‘A Good Boy’

When the “SICSA Pet Adoption Center” in Ohio took in “Rush,” a scared little Pit Bull, he was terrified. He’d been homeless his whole life, but he was so mild-mannered and loving that the volunteers were confident he would find a home soon.

Every potential adopter who came to see Rush would recoil in horror when they learned he was a “Pit Bull,” despite the fact that he is a sweet and loving dog. He kept asking himself why no one ever chose him, even as each dog in the shelter found its new home one by one.

The volunteers observed Rush making his bed himself the day before when he was gone for visitation. They recorded Rush folding the sheets and tucking them in all corners with his mouth. Before the day’s adoption visits, the poor kid just wanted to look good!

The shelter knew they needed to assist Rush’s desperate pleas to reach far and wide after he made it a daily practice to make his bed. They uploaded this video on Facebook, where Rush’s earnestness drew the attention of many animal lovers.

Update: We are happy to update you that Rush has finally found a home! A couple who had recently lost their dog was chosen to become his new family. Rush’s sad face disappeared in an instant as he went home to embrace his new life as a beloved boy!
